New LGBT+ Film ‘Dreamers’ Highlights a Beautiful Romance Between Two Women in a UK Immigration Detention Center

Yay for queer cinema! Earlier this week we learned about an amazing new film called Dreamers that’s been making it’s rounds on the film festival circuit.

Dreamers is a UK based romantic dramedy centering a queer love story between two women inside of an immigration detention center.

Directed by Joy Gharoro-Akpojotor, the film follows Isio, a Nigerian lesbian fleeing homophobic circumstances in her community.

Isio finds love in an unexpected place when she meets Farah, another migrant who helps her navigate the politics of seeking asylum. The two find peace in one another while waiting for a new season in their lives.

We’re elated to see this film when it streams and we can’t wait to hear more about it from viewers. If you’ve already seen the film comment your thoughts below!
